The FAU Owls have been on a remarkable run, showcasing their prowess in a thrilling double-overtime victory against the Arizona Wildcats on December 23. With an impressive score of 96-95, it was a game that tested both skill and endurance. The statistics from that night tell a story of resilience; despite committing 24 personal fouls and turning over the ball 16 times, they managed to secure victory through sheer determination and efficient shooting – hitting 50 percent from the field and an exceptional 80 percent from the free-throw line.

This tenacity was also evident in their dominant performance against Florida International Panthers on December 14 at FAU Arena. The home advantage seemed to fuel them as they cruised to a comfortable win with a scoreline of 94-60. Their offensive efficiency was off the charts with an astounding field goal percentage of 64 percent and points in paint tallying up to half of their total points scored.

However, it's not just about offense; defense plays an equally crucial role. Against St. Bonaventure Bonnies on December 16, FAU demonstrated defensive solidity by limiting their opponents' scoring opportunities which resulted in only allowing them to score just over half (54) of what FAU put up (64). This defensive rigidity coupled with converting turnovers into points will be vital when facing Temple.

Temple comes into this matchup as no easy adversary but given recent performances; there is every reason for optimism among FAU fans. While respecting Temple's capabilities is important – especially considering any team can surprise you on any given day – there is something special brewing within this Florida Atlantic squad that suggests they are more than capable of handling whatever challenge comes their way.

As we look ahead towards this clash between two determined teams, all eyes will be set upon how well Florida Atlantic can maintain its offensive fluidity while tightening up any loose ends defensively against Temple's attack.

For those eager not to miss out on what could potentially be another classic display by Florida Atlantic Owls basketball team – mark your calendars for February 16th at Boca Raton’s very own FAU Arena where tip-off is scheduled after sunset hours local time. Fans can catch all live action nationally broadcasted by ESPN2 channel number two hundred nine.
