Owls Eye Victory at FedExForum: Florida Atlantic Prepares for Memphis Tigers

As the Florida Atlantic Owls prepare to swoop into the FedExForum, fans are buzzing with anticipation for their upcoming clash against the Memphis Tigers. The Owls have been soaring high this season, and their recent performances suggest that they are more than ready to take on their next challenge.

On February 11, FAU demonstrated a remarkable resilience in an overtime thriller against Wichita State Shockers. With a final score of 95-82, it was clear that the Owls had both the stamina and strategy to outlast their opponents in extended play. Their impressive 55 percent shooting from inside the arc and a staggering 91 percent from the free-throw line were pivotal in securing this victory.

FAU's ability to capitalize on turnovers has been a key factor in their success. In that game against Wichita State, they scored 16 points off turnovers, thanks to an aggressive defense that racked up 13 steals. This defensive prowess will be crucial when facing MEM's dynamic offense.

However, it wasn't all smooth flying for FAU; just two days prior on February 9th against UAB Blazers, they narrowly lost with a score of 73-76 despite fighting hard through another round of overtime. The Owls showed tenacity by dominating second-chance points with a total of 21 but fell short due to lower field goal percentages compared to previous games.

The most recent home game for FAU was nothing short of dominant as they crushed Tulsa's Golden Hurricane with an overwhelming scoreline of 102-70 on February 3rd. Flaunting an incredible fast break performance with 29 points and maintaining high efficiency from both two-point (65 percent) and three-point range (38 percent), FAU left no doubt about their offensive firepower.

The upcoming game promises to be another test for FAU's mettle as they face MEM at their home court where crowd support will undoubtedly fuel the Tigers' spirit. However, if past performances are any indication, Florida Atlantic has shown time and again that they can rise above challenges through sheer determination and strategic execution on both ends of the court.

FAU fans should mark their calendars for Sunday afternoon basketball action scheduled on February 25th at precisely at 2:00 PM Eastern Time when your Owls take flight against Memphis Tigers at FedExForum in Memphis Tennessee – all eyes will be glued to ESPN channel number two hundred six where every dribble and dunk can be witnessed nationally.
