Florida Atlantic Owls Eye Victory Over North Texas Mean Green in Fort Worth

As the Florida Atlantic Owls prepare to face the North Texas Mean Green on March 15th, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Owls have been on a remarkable run, showcasing their prowess in recent games and proving that they are a force to be reckoned with.

In their last game against Memphis Tigers on March 9th, FAU demonstrated an offensive masterclass, scoring 92 points. Their shooting was impressive with a field goal percentage of 49 percent and a three-point percentage of 39 percent. The team's ability to score from both inside and outside the paint was evident as they racked up 46 points in the paint. Moreover, their defense was just as formidable; they blocked five shots and made five steals which contributed to their victory.

FAU's performance has been consistently strong throughout the season. Against Tulane Green Wave on March 2nd, they secured another win with a score of 79-73. Their balanced attack saw them shooting at a field goal percentage of 46 percent while also dominating defensively with six steals and five blocks.

The upcoming game against UNT is expected to be no different for FAU. With an assists turnover ratio of over two in their last game against Memphis Tigers, it's clear that FAU knows how to maintain possession and create scoring opportunities for themselves while limiting those same chances for their opponents.

UNT will not make it easy though; they showed resilience in their previous match-up against FAU where there were eight lead changes before ultimately falling short by four points. UNT boasts an impressive free throw percentage at around 90 percent which could prove crucial if the game comes down to fine margins.

However, given FAU’s recent form — particularly their ability to convert second-chance points (20 against Memphis) — it seems likely that UNT will have its work cut out trying to contain this dynamic team.

The stage is set at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth for what promises to be an enthralling encounter between these two competitive teams. Fans can catch all the action live on ESPNU at 7:00 PM Eastern Time on March 15th as Florida Atlantic looks poised not just to compete but dominate this critical matchup.
