The Florida State team showcased a robust defense with an impressive seven blocks and nine steals during the game. Their offensive efforts were equally commendable as they scored 10 fast break points and dominated with 32 points in the paint. A significant contribution to their victory was their free throw accuracy, where they achieved an outstanding 87 percent success rate.

The Seminoles' rebounding was another area where they excelled, pulling down a total of 39 rebounds compared to the Fighting Irish's 38. This included ten offensive rebounds which led to crucial second-chance opportunities resulting in 16 second-chance points for Florida State. Their defensive prowess was further highlighted by limiting Notre Dame to just two fast break points throughout the contest.

On offense, Florida State's field goal percentage stood at a solid 39 percent with successful execution on both halves of play—scoring 33 points in the first half and adding another 34 in the second half. They also capitalized on turnovers by scoring an additional 13 points off Notre Dame's mistakes.

Notre Dame put up a valiant fight despite falling short; they managed to convert nine three-pointers contributing to their overall field goal percentage of 42 percent. However, their free throw performance was lackluster with only a success rate of about one-fourth or precisely speaking—27 percent—which proved costly in this close encounter.

As for individual performances from both teams, it is worth noting that personal fouls were nearly even with Florida State committing one more than Notre Dame's total count of sixteen fouls for each team respectively.
