The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center roared to life as the Florida State Seminoles orchestrated a commanding performance against their opponents. The home team's offense was firing on all cylinders, boasting a superior field goal percentage of 55 percent compared to Boston College's respectable 52 percent. The Seminoles were particularly effective inside, scoring 40 points in paint and converting two-point shots with a remarkable accuracy rate of 64 percent.

Defensively, while both teams managed to block two shots each during playtime, it was FSU's ability to disrupt Boston College's rhythm that stood out; they amassed an impressive total of ten steals throughout the game. This defensive pressure translated into points off turnovers for FSU who capitalized with 21 points from these opportunities.

On top of their defensive efforts, FSU also excelled at sharing the ball effectively as evidenced by their 13 assists during gameplay. Their assist-to-turnover ratio was nearly even at approximately one-to-one (1:1), indicating disciplined ball-handling against Boston College’s defense which only managed to force eleven turnovers from FSU players.

Boston College did put up strong numbers in several categories despite falling short on the scoreboard. They distributed well among themselves totaling nineteen assists and were able to convert nine out of twenty-two three-point attempts resulting in a solid three-point shooting percentage near forty-one percent.
