As the Fresno State Bulldogs prepare to host the San Diego State Aztecs at the Save Mart Center, fans are brimming with anticipation for what promises to be a riveting encounter. In their last outing on February 11 against Nevada's Wolf Pack, FRES fell short despite a valiant effort, scoring 66 points. Their shooting from beyond the arc was lukewarm at best, hitting only 31 percent of their three-point attempts. However, they did manage an impressive 53 percent from two-point range. The defense was active with six steals but ultimately couldn't contain Nevada's offense which put up 77 points.

Comparatively, in their February 8 game against San Jose State Spartans at home, FRES showed what they're capable of when firing on all cylinders. They emerged victorious with a scoreline of 70-62 and were particularly lethal from downtown – sinking an astonishing 67 percent of threes. Their fast break play was also notable as they racked up 19 fast break points.

The most striking performance came on February 4 against UNLV Runnin' Rebels where FRES scored an impressive victory with an offensive showcase that led them to score 82 points. They shot nearly perfect from the free-throw line and capitalized on second-chance opportunities by scoring 17 second-chance points.

While these games highlight both strengths and weaknesses for FRES, it’s clear that when they control the paint and capitalize on turnovers while maintaining defensive pressure without fouling out key players – as seen in their game against SJSU – they can dominate opponents.

The San Diego State Aztecs will certainly pose a challenge; however, if recent patterns hold true and FRES can leverage its home-court advantage while keeping turnovers low and maintaining high shooting percentages especially from three-point land as demonstrated in previous games this month – there is every chance that Fresno State could secure another win for its record.

Fans should mark their calendars for this thrilling matchup scheduled for February 16th at Save Mart Center in Fresno CA starting at sharp at eight o'clock PM local time (11 PM Eastern Time). For those unable to attend in person, you can catch all the action live on CBS Sports Network channel number two hundred twenty-one.
