In a recent men's basketball matchup, the Fresno State Bulldogs visited War Memorial Gymnasium to take on the San Francisco Dons. Despite a strong start that saw them leading with 34 points in the first half compared to the Dons' 39, the Bulldogs were unable to maintain their momentum and added only 23 more points in the second half. The Dons capitalized on this, scoring an additional 38 points after halftime.

The Bulldogs showcased notable efficiency from two-point range with a shooting percentage of about 63 percent and scored a total of 30 points in paint. However, they struggled beyond the arc with just three three-pointers made out of eighteen attempts for an approximate shooting percentage of just under seventeen percent from distance.

Defensively, Fresno State managed four blocks and six steals but gave up ten fast break points to their opponents. They also recorded seven personal fouls over the course of play while turning over possession eighteen times which led to thirteen points for San Francisco off those turnovers.

On offense, Fresno State had six assists but faced challenges maintaining possession as evidenced by an assist-to-turnover ratio below one (approximately 0.33). Their rebounding efforts yielded twenty-eight boards overall including twenty-two defensive rebounds and six offensive rebounds which contributed eight second-chance points.

Conversely, The San Francisco Dons demonstrated strong offensive execution throughout the game. They shot approximately forty-eight percent from field goal range and excelled particularly from three-point territory where they hit fifteen out of twenty-nine attempts for an impressive fifty-two percent accuracy rate. Their ball movement resulted in fifteen assists contributing significantly to their victory margin.

San Francisco also applied pressure defensively with eleven steals leading directly to twenty points off turnovers – capitalizing effectively on Bulldog mistakes. Additionally, they edged out Fresno State slightly on total rebounds with thirty collected including ten offensive rebounds that helped them secure twelve second-chance points.

As both teams move forward into their season schedules, fans are looking ahead as well; The next challenge for Fresno State will be against another California rival when they travel southward again – this time facing off against University of San Diego Toreros at Jenny Craig Pavilion located in sunny San Diego on December 29th at 7:00 PM Pacific Time.
