Fresno State Bulldogs Set to Challenge Utah State Aggies at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum

As the Fresno State Bulldogs prepare to face off against the Utah State Aggies at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, fans are eager to see if their team can bounce back from a recent defeat. The Bulldogs' last outing on December 23 saw them fall short against the San Francisco Dons with a score of 57-77. Despite putting up a strong first half and leading with 34 points, they couldn't maintain their momentum, ending with only 23 points in the second half.

The Bulldogs' performance was marred by an abysmal three-point shooting percentage of just 17 percent and a total turnover count that hit 18. These numbers were significantly detrimental when compared to their opponents who capitalized on turnovers, scoring 20 points off them and boasting an impressive three-point shooting percentage of over 50 percent.

However, not all is grim for Fresno State. In their game against Portland State Vikings on December 19, they showed resilience by pushing the game into overtime despite trailing in the first half. They ultimately lost by a narrow margin (72-75), but they demonstrated an ability to fight back which could be crucial in upcoming games.

Their statistics from this match tell us that while they had fewer turnovers (13) than in their loss against San Francisco Dons, there's still room for improvement when it comes to converting opportunities into points – especially from beyond the arc where they shot just under 30 percent.

In another recent home game on December 16 versus Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners, Fresno managed a win with a scoreline of 61-58. Their two-point field goal percentage was stellar at nearly 68 percent and they outperformed Cal State Bakersfield in assists as well as fast break points. This shows that when Fresno focuses on inside scoring and transition play, they can control games effectively.

Looking ahead at their matchup with Utah State Aggies, it's clear that if Fresno wants to secure victory away from home, tightening up defense against three-point shots will be key along with reducing turnovers which have been consistently high in past games.

The scheduled clash is set for January 21st at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum located in Logan UT; tip-off is slated for January at night local time (9:00 PM ET). Fans won't want to miss this showdown and can catch all the action live via MW Network online broadcast.
