In a closely contested conference game at the Save Mart Center, the Fresno State Bulldogs fell to the Colorado State Rams with a final score of 73-61. The game saw four lead changes and was tied twice, indicating how competitive it was from start to finish. The Bulldogs put up a strong fight in their home venue but were unable to capitalize on key moments that could have swung momentum in their favor. The team's performance was marked by solid contributions across various aspects of play.

The Fresno State Bulldogs showcased resilience throughout the match. They managed to out-rebound the Rams with 27 total rebounds compared to 26 by Colorado State. However, turnovers proved costly for Fresno as they gave up possession 12 times which led to 16 points for Colorado State off those turnovers.

Offensively, Fresno shot at a respectable rate from both inside and outside the arc with field goal percentages of 46 percent overall and 39 percent from three-point range. Their free throw accuracy was impressive at an almost perfect rate of 89 percent but unfortunately wasn't enough against Colorado State's equally efficient scoring.

Defensively, both teams managed only one block each during play; however, personal fouls were slightly higher for Fresno at 14 compared to Colorado's twelve fouls committed. This slight difference did not significantly impact the flow or outcome as both teams played disciplined basketball throughout.

The star players for Fresno made notable contributions despite falling short on this occasion. Their ability to assist each other stood out as they racked up fifteen assists over two halves of play – showcasing good ball movement and teamwork even amidst adversity.

Looking ahead after this tough loss at home, fans can catch their next chance when they face off against San Jose State Spartans on February 6th at Provident Credit Union Event Center in San Jose at seven o'clock PM Pacific Time broadcasted on NBCS-BA channel number six hundred ninety-six.
