Fresno State Bulldogs Set to Challenge Air Force Falcons at Clune Arena

As the Fresno State Bulldogs prepare to face off against the Air Force Falcons, fans are looking for signs of hope after a series of challenging games. The Bulldogs' recent performance on December 23 against the San Francisco Dons revealed some critical weaknesses, particularly in their three-point shooting, which was a mere 17 percent. Despite putting up a strong fight in the paint with 30 points and securing 28 rebounds, turnovers were their Achilles' heel with an alarming total of 18.

The game against Portland State Vikings on December 19 showed resilience from FRES as they pushed into overtime. Their two-point field goal percentage stood at an impressive 52 percent and they managed to rack up more blocks (6) than in their previous outing. However, turnovers continued to plague them with a count of 13 by game's end.

In contrast, when facing Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners on December 16, FRES demonstrated what could be described as their best form. They not only won but did so by maintaining control over turnovers (10), showcasing efficient scoring inside with a two-point field goal percentage at an outstanding 68 percent and outpacing CSB in fast break points (14).

The upcoming contest will demand that FRES capitalize on its strengths while addressing its turnover issues. The Falcons have shown themselves to be formidable opponents this season and will not yield easily on their home court at Clune Arena.

Air Force's defense is likely to challenge FRES' inside game; thus it is imperative for the Bulldogs to diversify their offense and improve beyond-the-arc shooting if they wish to secure victory away from home.

Looking ahead, fans can mark their calendars for February 10th when these two teams clash at Clune Arena in Colorado Springs. Tip-off is scheduled for an evening start time that promises excitement under the bright lights of competition. Those unable to attend can catch all the action streamed live via MW Network online – ensuring no one misses out on what promises to be a thrilling encounter between these conference rivals.
