In their last game on February 15 against the Runnin' Rebels, FRES narrowly missed victory with a final score of 65-67. Despite falling short by two points, there were positive takeaways from that performance. The Bulldogs demonstrated remarkable efficiency from inside the arc, shooting 64 percent on two-point attempts and maintaining a solid free throw percentage at 78. Their ball distribution was also noteworthy with 15 assists, showcasing their ability to play as a cohesive unit.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for FRES; they struggled beyond the three-point line with only a 24 percent success rate and were outrebounded by UNLV's robust board work (32 rebounds to Fresno's 19). These are areas where they'll need significant improvement when facing USU.

Looking back further into their season provides more insight into FRES's capabilities. On February 10 against Air Force Falcons in enemy territory, they emerged victorious with a scoreline of 68-66. Their resilience shone through as they overcame turnovers and capitalized on fast break opportunities scoring ten points. This win was bolstered by an impressive three-point shooting display hitting an outstanding 62 percent from deep.

The Bulldogs' performance against San Jose State Spartans on February 7 was another testament to their tenacity as they secured a win with a score of 69-57. They dominated rebounding that night pulling down an impressive total of 39 rebounds which included seven offensive boards leading to ten second-chance points.

As we pivot our attention towards Utah State Aggies, it's clear that rebounding will once again play a pivotal role in determining who comes out on top in this matchup. The Aggies bring their own set of strengths into this contest which cannot be overlooked by FRES if they hope to defend home court successfully.

The stage is set for what could be one of the most intense games this season for Fresno State Bulldogs fans who eagerly await tip-off scheduled for February 27 at precisely seven o'clock in the evening Pacific Time at Save Mart Center – right here in Fresno!
