At Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, a crowd of 10,232 fans witnessed the Georgia Bulldogs take control against their conference rivals. The home team capitalized on their offensive rebounds to secure 17 second-chance points and maintained a solid field goal percentage of 45 throughout the game. Their prowess from beyond the arc was notable as well, as they shot an impressive 40 percent from three-point range.

The Bulldogs' defense was equally formidable; they amassed ten steals and blocked three shots from the Tigers. This defensive pressure contributed to ten points off turnovers for Georgia. On offense, they were efficient in capitalizing on free throw opportunities, making 22 out of their total attempts which translated into a free throw percentage of approximately 69 percent.

The visiting Auburn Tigers struggled with their shooting accuracy throughout the game. They managed only a field goal percentage of around 35 percent and were less effective from long range with just over twenty-one percent success rate on three-pointers. Despite these challenges, they fought hard under the boards to collect forty-four total rebounds.

Auburn's efforts were not enough to overcome Georgia's balanced attack that saw them lead by as many as twelve points during playtime. The Bulldog’s assist-to-turnover ratio stood at about one point one while maintaining discipline with only nineteen personal fouls compared to Auburn's twenty.
