The game was marked by intense competition as reflected by the 11 lead changes and a single instance where the score was tied. The Georgia Bulldogs showcased their long-range shooting skills by converting 50 percent of their three-point attempts into points, adding up to 10 successful shots from beyond the arc. Their efforts inside were less fruitful, with only 26 points scored in the paint compared to their opponents' dominant performance that resulted in 42 points.

Defensively, the Georgia Bulldogs managed to block two shots and came away with six steals during the course of play. However, they struggled on rebounds against a strong Florida side that outperformed them slightly in this aspect with a total rebound count of 37 against Georgia's 40.

On offense, despite taking more field goal attempts than Florida (68 versus 61), Georgia had difficulty finding their rhythm; they finished with a lower field goal percentage of approximately 38 percent while Florida shot an impressive approximate rate of 49 percent from the field. From free throw line too, there was disparity; while Georgia made about 72 percent of their free throws, Florida excelled with an approximate success rate of about 88 percent.

The Gators also capitalized on fast break opportunities scoring approximately nine more points than the Bulldogs in this category. Additionally, they were able to convert turnovers into ten points and maintained better ball distribution throughout as evidenced by their higher assist-to-turnover ratio (approximately two compared to one for Georgia).
