At Stegeman Coliseum, fans witnessed an intense matchup where both teams displayed their competitive spirit. The Bulldogs put up 37 points in the first half and added another 42 in the second, showcasing their determination to overcome their opponents' early lead. However, Tennessee managed to score consistently with 42 points before halftime and an additional 43 afterward.

Georgia's performance was marked by impressive three-point shooting accuracy of 42 percent as they made 14 shots from beyond the arc. Their free-throw accuracy stood out at an exceptional rate of 83 percent with 19 successful attempts from the line. However, struggles were evident inside as they only converted on a quarter of their two-point attempts.

The Bulldogs demonstrated tenacity on defense with six steals but were only able to block one shot throughout the game. They also showed discipline in ball-handling with just nine turnovers and maintained an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.75.

On Tennessee's side, they exhibited balanced scoring and strong defense which contributed significantly to their victory. The Volunteers had six blocks and matched Georgia's steal count at six apiece while distributing well among teammates for a total of seventeen assists.

Rebounding played a crucial role where Tennessee outperformed Georgia by securing forty-six rebounds compared to thirty-eight by the home team; this included eleven offensive boards for Tennessee which helped them gain extra possessions.

Looking ahead for Georgia fans, attention turns toward an away game against South Carolina Gamecocks at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on January 16th at 9:00 PM Eastern Time. This upcoming contest will be broadcasted nationally on ESPNU channel two hundred eight for those looking to follow along live.
