At Stegeman Coliseum, the home crowd witnessed a tightly contested match where both teams displayed remarkable resilience. The Bulldogs showed superior accuracy from close range, converting 58 percent of their two-point attempts into points and finishing with an overall field goal percentage of 44 percent. Their prowess in scoring from within the paint was evident as they racked up 36 points in that area.

Defensively, the Bulldogs outperformed their opponents by securing three blocks and four steals throughout the game. They also dominated on rebounds, grabbing a total of 39 compared to the Rebels' 30. This included ten offensive rebounds which contributed to their second-chance points tallying up to 17.

The free throw line was another area where Georgia excelled; they made good on an impressive 88 percent of their attempts there. Despite committing more turnovers (11) than their opponents (8), they managed to score ten points off turnovers.

On the other side, despite trailing behind in several statistical categories, Ole Miss put up a strong fight against Georgia's defense. They were able to make six three-pointers and had a free throw percentage of 83 percent which kept them within striking distance until the end.

The game saw its fair share of lead changes – four in total – along with times when neither team could establish dominance over the other as indicated by two tied scores during playtime.

As for individual performances that stood out for Georgia, it was not just one player but rather a collective effort that secured them this hard-fought victory at home before an attendance of over six thousand fans.

Looking ahead for fans eager to follow their team's progress: The next challenge for UGA will be against Auburn Tigers at Neville Arena on March 9th at 5:30 PM Eastern Time. This away game will be broadcasted live on SEC Network for supporters who wish to catch every moment as it unfolds.
