Yellow Jackets Set to Swarm Clemson Tigers at Hank McCamish Pavilion

As the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets gear up to host the Clemson Tigers at Hank McCamish Pavilion, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Yellow Jackets have been showing a mix of grit and flair on the court, and their recent performances suggest they're ready to take on any challenge.

In their last game against Hawai'i's Rainbow Warriors on December 23rd, GT showcased their ability to maintain a lead under pressure. With a final score of 73-68, it was their dominance in points in the paint that stood out – a whopping 46 points were scored close to the basket. This inside presence could be pivotal against Clemson.

GT's rebounding has been nothing short of impressive; they pulled down 46 rebounds in that game alone. Their defensive prowess was also on display as they managed to block four shots and steal twice, disrupting Hawai'i's offensive flow.

However, it wasn't just about defense for GT; their offense clicked well too. They shot 52 percent from two-point range and maintained an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.38 – signs of efficient ball movement and shot selection.

But every team has areas for improvement, and for GT it’s their three-point shooting which stood at just 29 percent against Hawai'i. If they can improve from beyond the arc while maintaining their interior strength, Clemson will have a tough time keeping up.

Looking back further into December during another intense matchup with UMass Minutemen on December 22nd, GT again put up an impressive fight but showed some vulnerability with turnovers – committing a total of 21 throughout the game which led directly to points for UMass.

The most thrilling encounter came mid-December when GT faced Penn State Nittany Lions at Madison Square Garden where after an electrifying overtime battle they emerged victorious with an 82-81 win. That day saw them excel in assists (25) and second-chance points (24), highlighting relentless effort and teamwork even when pushed into extra minutes.

With these past games as indicators, one can expect Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets' upcoming clash with Clemson Tigers will be no less than exhilarating. The key factors will likely be how well GT can control turnovers while exploiting Clemson’s defense inside the paint where they've shown considerable strength.

Fans should mark February 22nd on their calendars as this is when Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will face off against Clemson Tigers right here in Atlanta at Hank McCamish Pavilion. Tip-off is scheduled for prime time viewing pleasure so make sure not to miss any action broadcasted nationally by ACC Network on channel number 612.
