As the Houston Cougars prepare to face off against the Oklahoma Sooners at the Lloyd Noble Center, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Cougars have been on a roll, and their recent performances suggest they're not slowing down anytime soon.

Looking back at their last game on February 20th against Iowa State Cyclones, HOU showcased a robust defense coupled with an aggressive offense. They outscored the Cyclones by 8 points, ending with a 73-65 victory. The statistics from that game are telling; HOU had an impressive assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.38 and capitalized on turnovers by scoring 20 points off them. Their free throw percentage was also notable at 75 percent.

In another dominant performance against Texas Longhorns on February 17th, HOU's offensive prowess was undeniable as they scored a whopping 82 points. Their fast break plays were particularly devastating, contributing to a significant portion of their total score with fast break points totaling up to 16. Moreover, their defensive rebounds were strong – pulling down 27 compared to Longhorns' mere nine offensive rebounds.

One cannot overlook HOU's game against Cincinnati Bearcats earlier in February where they won by just five points in what was undoubtedly a tighter contest than many expected. Despite this close call, it's essential to note that HOU still managed to maintain control throughout the game with fewer turnovers and better shot selection which is evident from their field goal percentage standing at nearly forty percent.

The upcoming clash promises to be thrilling as both teams bring unique strengths onto the court; however, it is clear that if Houston maintains its current form – especially in terms of converting defensive plays into scoring opportunities – they will likely emerge victorious once again.

The Sooners should not be underestimated though; any team playing on home turf has an inherent advantage and can leverage crowd support into momentum swings during critical moments of play.

Fans eager for action can mark their calendars for March 2nd when these two titans collide at Norman's Lloyd Noble Center promptly at seven o'clock in the evening local time (Central Time Zone). ESPN2 will broadcast this highly anticipated matchup nationally for all enthusiasts unable to attend in person but still wishing to catch every dribble and dunk live as it unfolds.
