Did Illinois Fighting Illini's Second-Half Surge Secure Victory Over Cornhuskers?

The game began with an aggressive offense from both sides. The Cornhuskers initially took control, ending the first half with a substantial lead by scoring 51 points to the Fighting Illini's 40. However, as play resumed, it was clear that the Fighting Illini were not going down without a fight. Despite committing one more turnover than Nebraska who had eight against nine for Illinois, it did not deter them from maintaining control over the game flow. The Fighting Illini also managed better assist-to-turnover ratio standing at two compared to one point seventy-five for Nebraska indicating smarter ball handling under pressure.
