The Indiana Hoosiers, playing in front of a full-capacity crowd of 17,222 fans, managed to secure their win through consistent play across both halves. They started strong with 38 points in the first half and added another 28 in the second.

They shot an impressive 46 percent from field goal range and an even more notable 42 percent from three-point territory. From two-point range, they made good on nearly half their attempts with a success rate of approximately 47 percent.

Free throws were also key for Indiana as they capitalized on their opportunities at the line, making around 71 percent of their free throws. On offense, they out-assisted Rutgers with fifteen assists which contributed to their efficient ball movement.

The Scarlet Knights did manage eight steals and one block defensively but committed seventeen personal fouls over the course of play compared to thirteen by Indiana – a factor that may have influenced momentum shifts during critical moments in this tight matchup.
