Indiana Hoosiers VS Maryland Terrapins

The Hoosiers started strong in the first half, putting up 29 points against the Terrapins' defense. However, they were outscored by eight points as Maryland secured 37 points before halftime. In an attempt to regain control, Indiana managed to add another 26 points in the second half but couldn't bridge the gap as Maryland maintained their lead with an additional 29 points.

Indiana's offensive efforts were led by their ability to convert free throws with an impressive accuracy rate of around 83 percent from the line. Defensively, Indiana gathered a total of forty rebounds during play – twenty-six defensive and fourteen offensive – showcasing their ability to battle on both ends of the court. They also recorded three blocks and two steals throughout the game but committed twenty personal fouls which may have hindered their momentum.

On offense for Maryland, they made eighteen field goals out of fifty-three attempts resulting in approximately a thirty-four percent shooting performance from the floor. Their free throw prowess was notable as well; they capitalized on scoring opportunities by sinking about eighty-six percent of shots taken from the charity stripe.

Maryland's defense proved formidable with five blocks and six steals contributing to twelve turnovers for Indiana. The Terrapins also maximized on these turnovers by scoring fourteen points off them compared to only six for Indiana off turnovers caused by them.

As fans look ahead, they can anticipate that The Indiana Hoosiers will next face off against Purdue Boilermakers at Assembly Hall in Bloomington on February fourth at nine o'clock Eastern Time.
