The Hoosiers struggled to find their rhythm throughout the match. Despite scoring 25 points in the first half and improving to 34 in the second, they couldn't keep up with Purdue's consistent performance of scoring over 37 points in both halves. Indiana's field goal percentage was a modest 42 percent from an attempt of 55 shots. From beyond the arc, they managed only a 25 percent success rate with four three-pointers made out of sixteen attempts.

Indiana did show some resilience under pressure; they fought hard for rebounds and ended up collecting a total of thirty-one across both halves. Of these rebounds, twenty-seven were personal efforts while four were team rebounds. However, this was overshadowed by Purdue's dominant rebounding performance which totaled forty-six.

On defense, Indiana managed five steals and two blocks but committed twenty personal fouls leading to one player being fouled out. Offensively, fifteen assists were distributed among players showcasing some teamwork but it wasn't enough to overcome their twelve turnovers which resulted in only six points off turnovers for them.

Purdue capitalized on every opportunity given by Indiana; ten steals led them to thirteen points off turnovers and eight successful three-pointers contributed significantly to their scoreline. Their free throw accuracy stood at sixty-four percent as they made twenty-one out of thirty-three attempts.

Looking ahead for the Hoosiers is another chance to showcase their skills on home turf against Northwestern Wildcats at Assembly Hall located in Bloomington on February 18th at 2:00 PM local time (3:00 PM Eastern). Fans eagerly awaiting this matchup can tune into Fox Sports 1 on channel two hundred nineteen for national coverage as Indiana seeks redemption after this setback.
