Will the Hoosiers Outmaneuver the Badgers at Assembly Hall?

As the Indiana Hoosiers prepare to host the Wisconsin Badgers at Assembly Hall, fans are eager to see if their team can maintain its home-court advantage. The Hoosiers have shown a mixed bag of performances in their recent outings, with a notable victory against Penn State but also facing setbacks against Purdue and Ohio State.

The last game on their home turf saw them put up an impressive fight, scoring 71 points with a commendable field goal percentage of 48 percent. Their two-point attempts were particularly efficient at 61 percent, and they excelled at free throws, hitting 84 percent. However, turnovers were an issue as they gave up possession 13 times.

In contrast, when playing away against Purdue and Ohio State, the Hoosiers struggled to keep up. Against Purdue, they managed only a 42 percent field goal success rate and turned over the ball twelve times. Their three-point shooting was lackluster at just 25 percent. Similarly, in Columbus against Ohio State despite improving their overall point tally to 76 points and fast break points to ten; turnovers remained problematic with eleven instances.

Defensively speaking, Indiana has room for improvement; they've been outrebounded by opponents in two of these games which could be crucial going into this matchup since controlling the boards often translates into controlling the game's pace.

The upcoming clash will test whether Indiana can leverage its home-court atmosphere to regain consistency and reduce turnovers while maintaining strong shooting performance from both inside and outside the arc.
