First Half

The first half saw a competitive start as both teams exchanged leads multiple times. The Hoosiers managed to edge ahead by halftime with a scoreline of 36-30. Lamar Wilkerson was instrumental in setting the pace for IU, contributing significantly to their offensive efforts.

Second Half

In the second half, Indiana's offense exploded, scoring an impressive 56 points compared to Oregon's 44. Andrej Acimovic played a pivotal role in this surge, demonstrating his prowess under the basket and helping IU maintain control throughout. The Quack Attack struggled defensively against Indiana's efficient shooting; IU boasted an overall field goal percentage of 60 percent.

Post Game Analysis

The post game analysis highlights that while Oregon made attempts to close the gap through fast breaks and bench contributions totaling 20 points, they were unable to match Indiana’s relentless attack and strategic ball movement which resulted in 22 assists for IU. Despite having fewer turnovers than their opponents (6 compared to Indiana’s 9), Oregon couldn't capitalize on these opportunities effectively.

This matchup also showcased contrasting styles: while Ducks relied heavily on perimeter shooting with a three-point percentage of 37 percent, it was not enough against Hoosiers’ dominant inside play where they scored efficiently at an impressive two-point percentage rate of over eighty percent.

Fans can look forward to more action as Indiana prepares for its next challenge against Illinois Fighting Illini scheduled for February 15th at State Farm Center in Champaign. Catch all live coverage on CBS starting from early afternoon at around one o'clock Eastern Time!
