Iowa Hawkeyes Look to Continue Winning Streak Against Utah Utes; Payton Sandfort Shines in Previous Games

The Iowa Hawkeyes are set to face off against the Utah Utes in an exciting men's basketball matchup. Both teams have been performing well, but the Hawkeyes are riding a winning streak and hope to extend it with a victory over the Utes. One player who has been instrumental in the Hawkeyes' success is Payton Sandfort.

Utah Utes VS Iowa Hawkeyes

Sandfort, a forward for the Hawkeyes, has been a standout performer in their previous games. In the first game, he scored 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, showcasing his ability to dominate on both ends of the court. His shooting percentage was an impressive 64 percent, and he also had a perfect free throw percentage of 83 percent.

In the second game, Sandfort continued his strong performance with 24 points and 11 rebounds. He shot 60 percent from the field and made 50 percent of his three-point attempts. His all-around game was on display as he also contributed four assists and three steals.

Even in the third game, Sandfort remained consistent with another solid performance. He scored 19 points and pulled down six rebounds while shooting 38 percent from the field. Although his shooting percentage was slightly lower in this game, he still made an impact on both ends of the court.

Sandfort's exceptional performances in these games have made him a key player for the Hawkeyes. His scoring ability, rebounding prowess, and defensive skills make him a threat that opposing teams must account for. If he can maintain this level of play against the Utes, it will greatly increase Iowa's chances of securing another victory.

While Sandfort has been outstanding for the Hawkeyes, it's important to note that other players have also contributed to their success. Tony Perkins has provided solid play at the guard position, averaging 9 points and 8 assists per game. Brock Harding has been a reliable scorer, averaging 10 points per game. Ladji Dembele has been a force on defense, recording multiple steals and blocks in each game.

On the other side of the court, the Utah Utes have their own standout players to watch out for. Deivon Smith has been a playmaker for the Utes, averaging 15 points and 9 assists per game. Branden Carlson has been a dominant force in the paint, averaging 21 points and 11 rebounds per game.

With both teams boasting talented players, this matchup promises to be an exciting one. The Hawkeyes will look to continue their winning streak behind the stellar play of Payton Sandfort and their supporting cast. However, they cannot underestimate the Utes and their formidable duo of Smith and Carlson.

Basketball fans can catch all the action on March 24th at 8:00 PM Eastern Time on ESPN2. The game will take place at Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
