First Half


The first half saw both teams exchanging leads frequently, with neither side able to establish dominance. The Hawks managed to score 32 points, showcasing their ability in the paint by converting on 60 percent of their attempts inside. Tavion Banks contributed significantly with his versatility on both ends of the court.


Second Half


As the game progressed into the second half, Maryland began pulling away slightly. Their efficiency from beyond the arc and strong defensive rebounding were pivotal in maintaining control over Iowa's offensive threats. In terms of individual performances for Iowa, Peyton McCollum stood out by facilitating plays and keeping pressure on Maryland's defense throughout both halves.
