The Iowa State Cyclones, ranked 8th, edged out a victory against the unranked UCF Knights with a final score of 60-52. The game was held at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, witnessed by a crowd of 9,392 spectators.

The Cyclones showcased their defensive skills by recording nine steals and limiting their personal fouls to 18. Their offense was equally effective with a field goal percentage of 46 and a commendable two-point shooting accuracy of 64 percent. They were also successful from the free-throw line, making 13 out of 19 attempts which translates to a free throw percentage of approximately 68 percent.

A key factor in the Cyclones' win was their ability to capitalize on turnovers; they scored an impressive total of 22 points off turnovers compared to the Knights' 14 points in that category. Additionally, Iowa State's assist-to-turnover ratio stood at nearly one (0.94), demonstrating their ability to maintain possession under pressure.

On the other hand, despite being outscored overall, the UCF Knights put up strong numbers inside with an outstanding two-point shooting percentage at around 68 percent and dominating points in paint totaling at least twice as much as Iowa State's with an imposing figure of 36 points. However, they struggled beyond the arc with only one three-pointer made from nineteen attempts – resulting in just about five percent accuracy from long range.

The fast-paced game saw both teams pushing for fast break opportunities; however it was Iowa State who excelled with ten fast break points while UCF managed seven. In terms of rebounds, though trailing behind UCF's total rebound count by five boards (31-26), Iowa State managed to secure six offensive rebounds contributing crucially towards second-chance opportunities.

Looking ahead for fans eager to follow their team’s progress: The next challenge for the Iowa State Cyclones will be on home turf against BYU Cougars at James H. Hilton Coliseum located in Ames on March sixth scheduled for seven o'clock PM Central Time Zone broadcasted live on ESPN2 network where supporters can tune in and watch another exciting matchup unfold.
