The Cyclones, who traveled to Manhattan's Bramlage Coliseum, were unable to secure a win despite a hard-fought battle that saw them score 24 points in the first half and improve to 34 points in the second. The Wildcats managed to outscore them with 28 points initially and finished strong with 37 points after halftime.

The Cyclones showcased their defensive skills with an impressive tally of six blocks and nine steals throughout the game. However, they struggled from beyond the arc, converting only five out of seventeen three-point attempts for a three-point percentage of twenty-nine percent. Inside the paint was where Iowa State found more success, contributing thirty-four points to their total score.

Iowa State's free throw performance was modest as they made nine out of fifteen attempts, resulting in a sixty percent completion rate from the line. Their field goal efforts yielded better results; they made twenty-two out of fifty-one attempts which translates into a forty-three percent shooting rate for field goals overall.

Despite these efforts, turnovers proved costly for Iowa State as they gave up possession fourteen times during play. This contrasted sharply with their assists count which stood at seven by game's end – an assists turnover ratio that left room for improvement at zero point five.

On an individual level, players fought hard under both baskets as evidenced by eighteen defensive rebounds and six offensive rebounds collected by Iowa State players themselves. Team rebounding added another four boards (three defensive and one offensive) bringing their total rebound count to twenty-seven against Kansas State's thirty-six.

The Wildcats capitalized on turnovers better than their opponents did; scoring twenty points off turnovers compared to eleven by Iowa State. Additionally, Kansas State had more fast break opportunities leading them to fifteen fast break points while Iowa State managed just two such points.

As fans look ahead after this tough loss on enemy territory, they can catch future broadcasts featuring Iowa State Cyclones as they continue through this season’s conference games.
