Iowa State Cyclones Dominate TCU Horned Frogs with Stellar Offense and Tight Defense

In a commanding display of basketball, the Iowa State Cyclones outplayed the TCU Horned Frogs with an 82-52 victory. This win improves the Cyclones' season record, showcasing their prowess on both ends of the court. The game, held at James H. Hilton Coliseum in Ames, saw a packed crowd of 14,267 fans cheering on their team to a well-deserved win.

Cyclones' Offensive Firepower


The Iowa State Cyclones demonstrated exceptional offensive efficiency, shooting 60 percent from the field and an impressive 47 percent from beyond the arc. Their ability to convert opportunities into points was evident as they amassed a total of 82 points during the game. The team's scoring efforts were led by Curtis Jones who contributed a game-high 24 points while shooting an outstanding 64 percent from the field and an even more impressive 83 percent from three-point range.


Joshua Jefferson also made significant contributions with his double-double performance consisting of 13 points and ten rebounds, along with two blocks that showcased his defensive capabilities as well. Milan Momcilovic's sharpshooting added another layer to the Cyclones' attack as he scored 14 points on efficient shooting percentages across various ranges.


Defensive Dominance and Team Effort


On defense, Iowa State was just as formidable. They limited TCU to just 52 points for the entire game while forcing them into making sixteen turnovers. The Cyclones capitalized on these turnovers by scoring twenty-two points off them which played a crucial role in extending their lead throughout the contest.


Keshon Gilbert facilitated ball movement effectively for Iowa State by dishing out eight assists while Nate Heise contributed defensively with three steals that disrupted TCU's offensive flow.

The Iowa State Cyclones are now setting their sights on their next challenge against UCF Knights at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando.
