Notably, player contributions were widespread across the team. Keshon Gilbert stood out with his remarkable performance scoring 15 points alongside four assists and seven rebounds. Joshua Jefferson also made significant contributions with 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and showcasing his all-around game.


Knights Struggle Against Cyclone Defense


The UCF Knights fought valiantly but struggled against Iowa State's defense throughout much of the game. Despite managing a respectable field goal percentage at 42 percent overall and scoring efficiently from close range (73 percent at rim), they couldn't overcome Iowa State's momentum.

Their efforts were led by fast break plays which accounted for eighteen fast break points but fell short due to turnovers which turned into eight crucial points for Iowa State.
