The Kansas Jayhawks showcased a solid performance on both ends of the court. Offensively, they were able to convert on 24 out of their 58 field goal attempts, resulting in a field goal percentage of approximately 41 percent. Their prowess from beyond the arc was particularly notable as they made an impressive ten three-pointers out of twenty-one attempts, translating to about a 48 percent success rate from long range.


Defensively, Kansas managed to secure seven steals and effectively limited their personal fouls to seventeen for the game. The team also demonstrated strong rebounding skills by collecting thirty-nine rebounds in total; twenty-eight defensive and eleven offensive rebounds contributed significantly to their control over the game flow.

The Jayhawks' free throw shooting was another highlight as they made twenty-two out of twenty-nine attempts from the charity stripe, achieving roughly a 76 percent free throw percentage. This accuracy played a crucial role in maintaining their lead throughout the contest.


On top of that, Kansas capitalized on turnovers by scoring nineteen points off thirteen turnovers committed by North Carolina State. They also took advantage of second-chance opportunities by adding nineteen points following offensive rebounds.

The North Carolina State Wolfpack put up a valiant effort against their higher-ranked opponents. They managed nine steals and blocked three shots while committing seventeen personal fouls similar to Kansas'. Their fast break execution resulted in twenty-two points which kept them competitive throughout both halves.


North Carolina State's two-point field goal percentage stood at around forty percent as they made sixteen baskets within close range out of forty attempts. From downtown, they hit eight three-pointers contributing to approximately thirty-six percent shooting from that distance.


Despite trailing behind most categories compared to Kansas', North Carolina State kept pace with an almost equal number of total rebounds at thirty-eight and matched turnovers with thirteen each for both teams.
