In their recent clash with the Sooners on January 13th, KU showcased a formidable display of skill and teamwork. With an overwhelming 78 points against the Sooners' 66, they demonstrated why they're considered one of the top contenders this season. Their game was marked by an exceptional two-point shooting percentage of 51 percent and an almost flawless free-throw performance at 94 percent accuracy. Moreover, their defensive prowess was evident as they racked up seven blocks and seven steals.

The Jayhawks' ability to control the paint was also on full display with a commanding 46 points in that area. Their ball movement led to them amassing an impressive total of 17 assists while maintaining a low turnover rate with only two turnovers for the entire game.

Another notable performance came during their encounter with TCU Horned Frogs on January 6th where KU emerged victorious with a close scoreline of 83-81. Despite being pushed to their limits by TCU's aggressive play which resulted in numerous lead changes throughout the game, KU's resilience shone through as they maintained composure under pressure.

However, it's not just about offense for KU; defense has been equally important in their strategy. Against TCU Horned Frogs, despite conceding more turnovers than usual (18), they managed to balance it out with solid defensive rebounds (21) and second-chance points (15).

On the other side of this matchup stands Oklahoma State Cowboys who will be looking to leverage home advantage and disrupt KU’s rhythm. The Cowboys have shown that they can't be underestimated especially when playing at home where crowd support can often inspire elevated performances from home teams.

The upcoming battle promises excitement as both teams bring contrasting styles onto the hardwood floor – Kansas Jayhawks’ high-powered offense versus Oklahoma State Cowboys’ gritty defense-minded approach.

Fans should mark their calendars for January 16th at 8:00 PM when these two teams lock horns at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater. This showdown will be broadcast nationally on ESPN channel number two hundred six for those who want to catch every dribble and dunk from what is expected to be an electrifying contest between these conference rivals.
