Looking back at their performance on December 23 against Yale Bulldogs, KU showcased a dominant display of basketball prowess. With an impressive 75 points to Yale's 60, they demonstrated why they're one of the top contenders this season. Their scoring was consistent across both halves, but it was in the second half where they truly shined with 43 points. The team's field goal percentage stood strong at 47 percent and their free throw accuracy was flawless at 100 percent.

The Jayhawks' defensive game was equally formidable. They blocked six shots and made ten steals which contributed significantly to their fast break points tallying up to 19 – a clear indicator of their ability to convert defense into offense seamlessly.

Another notable performance came on December 16 when KU visited Indiana Hoosiers' home court. Despite being guests in Assembly Hall, the Jayhawks emerged victorious with a close scoreline of 75-71. Their resilience under pressure was evident as they maintained a solid field goal percentage of 43 percent and were successful in more than two-thirds of their free throws.

Their most recent home game against Missouri Tigers on December 9 saw them secure another win with a scoreline reading Kansas Jayhawks:73 - Missouri Tigers:64. This victory highlighted KU’s ability to control the paint with an impressive count of offensive rebounds leading to second-chance points totaling up to seventeen – showcasing their relentless pursuit for scoring opportunities.

What stands out from these past games is not just KU’s offensive strength but also its strategic defense that has been instrumental in turning over opponents’ mistakes into valuable points off turnovers.

As we pivot our gaze towards Texas Tech Red Raiders, it's crucial for fans to recognize that while statistics favor KU based on recent performances, basketball is unpredictable by nature. However, given KU’s current form and tactical edge demonstrated in previous games – particularly in terms of assists-to-turnover ratio – there is reason for optimism among its supporters.

The scheduled date for this highly anticipated matchup is February 13th at United Supermarkets Arena located in Lubbock, TX; tip-off time will be promptly at (9:00 PM EST). Fans can catch all the action live as it unfolds on ESPN channel number (206).
