In their last game against the Red Raiders, Kansas faced a tough defeat, scoring 50 points to their opponent's 79. Their shooting from beyond the arc was particularly concerning, making only three out of sixteen attempts – that's just nineteen percent from three-point range. Additionally, they were outrebounded by a significant margin with only twenty-six rebounds compared to forty-two by the Red Raiders.

However, in their previous home game against Baylor Bears, Kansas emerged victorious with sixty-four points over sixty-one. Their defensive prowess was on full display as they racked up seventeen steals and converted those into valuable points off turnovers. Despite shooting just twenty-four percent from three-point land in that game as well, they managed to maintain an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.38.

The overtime thriller against the Wildcats saw Kansas score seventy points but ultimately fall short by five points in an intense battle that included fifteen lead changes and tied fifteen times throughout regulation and overtime. The Jayhawks showed resilience and an ability to create scoring opportunities through assists – racking up twenty-one assists for the game – but turnovers remained an area for improvement.

With these recent performances in mind, it is clear that Kansas will need to tighten up their perimeter shooting and continue leveraging their defensive strengths if they want to secure a win against Texas Longhorns at home.
