The Kansas State Wildcats displayed remarkable resilience and skill on the court. With a field goal percentage of 40 and converting six out of eighteen three-point attempts, they showcased their shooting capabilities. The team excelled particularly from the free-throw line, making an outstanding 23 out of 29 attempts which translates to a free throw percentage of approximately 79 percent.

Defensively, the Wildcats were formidable with four blocks and nine steals contributing to their overall performance. They also managed to out-rebound their opponents with a total rebound count of 37 compared to Wichita State's 33 rebounds. The offensive rebounding efforts were particularly notable as they gathered thirteen compared to eleven by Wichita State.

The game was not without its challenges for Kansas State; turnovers were an area that could see improvement as they totaled seventeen for this game. However, their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at about 0.81 which indicates that despite turnovers, ball movement and playmaking were effective aspects of their game plan.

On the opposing side, Wichita State put up a strong fight but ultimately fell short against Kansas's defensive pressure and scoring efficiency. They shot just over forty-one percent from field goals but struggled significantly from beyond the arc with only fifteen percent success rate on three-point shots.

Wichita did excel in points in paint totaling thirty-eight points which is indicative of their ability to penetrate Kansas’s defense inside but it wasn't enough to secure them victory this time around.

Looking ahead for fans of the Kansas State Wildcats: The team will next face off against Chicago State Cougars at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan on January third at seven PM Central Time zone. This home game promises another exciting round of basketball action for Wildcat supporters who can catch live coverage through ESPN+ internet broadcast network.
