First Half

The first half saw both teams battling fiercely, with K-State managing to keep pace with their rivals. The Wildcats scored 35 points, showcasing strong efforts from players like David Castillo and Taj Manning. Castillo contributed significantly by scoring crucial points and assisting his teammates effectively. Despite these efforts, the Hawks led by a narrow margin of just two points at halftime.

Second Half

In the second half, however, the momentum shifted dramatically in favor of Rock Chalk. They outscored K-State by an impressive margin as they added another 49 points to their tally. The Hawks' offensive prowess was evident as they capitalized on fast breaks and dominated inside the paint with a remarkable shooting percentage.

Key Performances

For K-State, P.J. Haggerty stood out as he led his team in scoring while also contributing assists and rebounds throughout his time on court. Andrej Kostic also made notable contributions off the bench but struggled against KU's defensive pressure which limited his effectiveness overall.

On defense though it was clear that despite some valiant attempts from players like Marcus Johnson who managed several steals during critical moments; ultimately it wasn't enough against such formidable opposition whose efficiency proved too much for them over time leading eventually towards defeat here today within home territory itself!
