Second Half

As the second half unfolded, K-State continued to face difficulties in closing the gap. Both teams scored an equal number of points in this period—31 each—but it wasn't enough for the Wildcats to overcome their first-half deficit. David Castillo and Marcus Johnson attempted to rally their team but were met with stiff resistance from Cincy's defense.

Key Performances and Statistics

For Kansas State, P.J. Haggerty stood out with his previous performance where he scored 24 points and maintained a field goal percentage of 61 percent. However, during this game against Cincy, his impact was less pronounced as he struggled alongside his teammates against a formidable opponent.

On the other side, Cincinnati's efficiency shone through with an effective field goal percentage of 63 percent and impressive three-point shooting accuracy at 57 percent. Their ability to capitalize on turnovers also played a crucial role in maintaining their lead throughout both halves.
