The game was highlighted by remarkable performances from several Wildcats players. Otega Oweh led his team with an impressive 13 points, complemented by six rebounds and two blocks, showcasing his all-around capabilities on both ends of the floor. His shooting accuracy from beyond the arc was flawless at 100 percent.

Not far behind in contribution was Ansley Almonor who matched Oweh's scoring with another 13 points. Almonor's shooting precision stood out as he hit 80 percent of his shots from the field and maintained perfect accuracy from both three-point range (67 percent) and free throws (100 percent).

Koby Brea and Trent Noah also made significant contributions to their team's victory. Brea tallied up 11 points along with two assists and two steals, while Noah added another layer of offense with his own tally of 11 points. Noah’s shooting was particularly efficient; he shot an impressive 75 percent from the field.

Volunteers' Effort

Despite falling short in this encounter, Tennessee Volunteers showed moments of brilliance throughout the match. Their effort was spearheaded by their ability to draw fouls and capitalize on free throws where they shot at an efficiency rate of nearly 79 percent. However, their struggle from beyond three-point line where they only managed to convert at a rate of about 17 percent proved costly against Kentucky’s more balanced attack.
