Liberty Flames to Host Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawks at Liberty Arena

As the Liberty Flames prepare to welcome the Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawks to Liberty Arena, fans are abuzz with anticipation for what promises to be a riveting matchup. The Flames have been on a tear lately, and their recent performances suggest that they're poised for another dominant display.

Liberty Flames VS St. Andrews Knights

In their last outing on November 26 against Delaware State Hornets at home, the Flames scorched their opponents with an emphatic 80-53 victory. Their offense was firing on all cylinders, shooting an impressive 53 percent from the field and an even more remarkable 45 percent from beyond the arc. With such high shooting percentages, it's clear that when the Flames get hot, they're nearly impossible to extinguish.

The defensive prowess of LIB was equally impressive in that game. They racked up 14 steals and forced a total of 17 turnovers while maintaining discipline and committing only 13 personal fouls. This defensive intensity turned into offensive opportunities as they scored 23 points off turnovers.

However, it's not just one game that showcases LIB's strengths; another performance worth noting is their game against Bradley Braves on November 23 in Cancun where they secured a solid win with a score of 55-44. Despite shooting only 38 percent from the field in this contest, LIB demonstrated tenacity on defense with five blocks and managed to outrebound their opponents by a significant margin.

While these victories are commendable, it would be remiss not to acknowledge that basketball is unpredictable and any team can triumph on any given day. That said, based on past performances and statistical analysis, it seems unlikely that UMES will be able to douse the flames of LIB's momentum.

The upcoming clash is set for December 3rd at Liberty Arena in Lynchburg – a fortress where LIB has shown considerable strength this season. Fans eager to support their team can catch all the action live as it unfolds on ESPN+ starting at midnight Eastern Time (ET). With home-court advantage and riding high from recent successes, expect nothing less than full-throttle basketball as Liberty aims to continue its winning ways against UMES Hawks.
