At the Murphy Athletic Center, fans witnessed a game where defense took center stage as both teams fought valiantly. The Bulldogs' tenacity was evident as they racked up 11 steals and blocked four shots. Their defensive efforts limited the Blue Raiders to just 52 points for the entire game. On offense, Louisiana Tech's precision from beyond the arc was noteworthy; they converted eight three-pointers at an efficient 42 percent clip.

The first half set the tone for what would be a nail-biting match-up, with both teams neck-and-neck ending at 25-24 in favor of Louisiana Tech. The second half saw an increase in intensity and scoring from both sides but it was Louisiana Tech who pulled away thanks to their relentless effort on both ends of the court.

Louisiana Tech's ability to capitalize on turnovers played a significant role in their win; they scored seven points off turnovers compared to Middle Tennessee's four. Additionally, second-chance points were crucial for Louisiana Tech who managed to score 14 points from such opportunities.

Rebounding also proved pivotal in this contest as Louisiana Tech collected 33 rebounds including ten offensive boards which provided them additional scoring chances. Their opponents grabbed more rebounds overall (35), but it wasn't enough to secure victory against a determined Bulldog squad.

Free throws were another area where Louisiana Tech excelled; shooting at an impressive rate of 78 percent from the line helped them maintain their lead throughout much of the game despite being challenged repeatedly by Middle Tennessee.

Looking ahead, fans can anticipate watching their team again when they host Liberty Flames at Thomas Assembly Center on January 14th at 3:00 PM local time. This upcoming home game will be broadcasted nationally on ESPNU channel number two hundred eight for those eager to follow along as Louisiana Tech continues its season campaign.
