Bulldogs Set to Clash with Bearkats at Thomas Assembly Center

As the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs prepare to host the Sam Houston Bearkats, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying encounter at the Thomas Assembly Center. The Bulldogs have been showcasing a form that could spell trouble for their opponents, and this upcoming game is no exception.

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs VS Sam Houston State Bearkats

In their last outing on February 25th against the New Mexico State Aggies, the Bulldogs emerged victorious with a score of 67-58. Their performance was marked by a strong second half where they outscored the Aggies 41-32. This resilience is something that has become synonymous with Louisiana Tech's gameplay; they seem to find another gear as games progress.

Louisiana Tech's statistics from that game paint a picture of a well-rounded team. They shot an impressive 48 percent from the field and an even more remarkable 67 percent from two-point range. Their free throw accuracy was solid at 76 percent, contributing significantly to their win margin. The Bulldogs also dominated in rebounds, grabbing 35 compared to New Mexico State's 22, which included nine offensive boards leading to crucial second-chance points.

Defense has been another cornerstone for LT this season. Against UTEP Miners on February 23rd, they racked up seven blocks and eight steals in a tight game that saw them edge out their opponents by six points (65-59). This defensive prowess will be critical when facing SHSU who are known for their aggressive playstyle.

The Bearkats should not be underestimated though; they bring their own set of skills to Ruston. However, if past performances are anything to go by, Louisiana Tech seems poised for success once again.

Looking ahead at what might unfold during this matchup against SHSU – it’s clear that LT’s ability to control both ends of the court will be pivotal in securing victory. Fans can expect LT’s players to come out strong defensively while exploiting any gaps in Sam Houston's armor through fast breaks and points off turnovers – areas where they have excelled throughout recent games.

With just days until tip-off on March 7th at 8:00 PM local time, excitement builds within Ruston as fans prepare for what could potentially be another showcase of Louisiana Tech's tenacity and skill on home turf – qualities that have made them one of the teams worth watching this season.

For those unable or unwilling to miss this clash of titans - CBS Sports Network will broadcast all live action directly into living rooms across America ensuring no one misses out on what is shaping up as must-watch basketball entertainment.
