Louisville's performance has been somewhat inconsistent, with a recent loss against Virginia Tech where they scored 68 points but allowed 75. Despite this setback, the team demonstrated strong free-throw shooting with an impressive 89 percent success rate. However, their field goal percentage stood at just 40 percent and three-point shots were made at a rate of only 32 percent.

In contrast, during their home game against Bellarmine Knights, the Cardinals emerged victorious with a score of 73 to Bellarmine's 68. They improved their field goal percentage slightly to 43 percent and maintained solid free-throw accuracy at approximately 73 percent. Their two-point shot conversion was notably better in this game at around 53 percent.

The most thrilling encounter came when they faced New Mexico State Aggies and triumphed in overtime with an exciting finish of 90-84. The team showcased its ability to perform under pressure while also highlighting areas that need tightening up; they had a lower field goal percentage of about 45 percent but excelled in free throws making roughly 74 percent.

One key trend for the Cardinals is their ability to capitalize on turnovers and convert defensive plays into points. They've consistently scored off turnovers across these games which could be pivotal against DePaul.

The venue may play its part too; Wintrust Arena will provide a different atmosphere compared to the KFC Yum! Center where Louisville has enjoyed home support. Adjusting quickly will be crucial for the Cardinals if they are to maintain composure on court.

Fans can catch all the action from Chicago on December 9th at seven o'clock in the evening Eastern Time as it airs live on Fox Sports One (channel number two hundred nineteen).
