In front of a spirited crowd at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, the home team LSU Tigers displayed commendable effort on both ends of the court. Despite these shifts in momentum, it was ultimately the Tigers who emerged victorious.

The Tigers' offense was spearheaded by their accuracy from beyond the arc, converting seven out of eighteen three-point attempts which translates to an impressive 39 percent success rate. Their overall field goal percentage stood at 41 percent with twenty-one successful shots out of fifty-one attempts. From within the paint, they managed to add twenty points to their tally.

On defense, LSU showed resilience by blocking three shots and stealing possession five times from their opponents.
