The LSU Tigers put forth a valiant effort at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa. Despite trailing behind in scoring for both halves of the game, they managed to rack up 88 points against their opponents. The team's offensive efforts were led by an impressive three-point shooting percentage of 39 percent, contributing significantly to their total score with 11 shots made from beyond the arc.

The Tigers also demonstrated tenacity on defense with seven steals and four blocks throughout the game. However, they struggled with personal fouls, committing a total of 24 which may have impacted their defensive effectiveness and overall control of the game's tempo.

Offensively, LSU showed balance in their attack with contributions across the board. They attempted 71 field goals and made good on 42 percent of them while converting on 63 percent from the free-throw line. Inside play was strong for LSU as well; they scored an impressive 34 points in paint.

Rebounding was another area where LSU showed hustle but ultimately fell short compared to Alabama's performance. The team gathered a total of 33 rebounds—18 defensive and an additional dozen on offense—providing some crucial second-chance opportunities that resulted in them scoring an admirable total of eighteen second-chance points.

Turnovers were relatively controlled by LSU as they only gave up possession ten times during play which is commendable considering Alabama’s aggressive defense that managed eight steals themselves.

On Alabama’s side, they showcased remarkable efficiency inside by hitting an astounding seventy-two percent from two-point range which contributed heavily towards their higher overall field goal percentage at fifty-six percent for the night. Their free throw accuracy stood out as well; sinking eighty-nine percent from the line helped maintain distance between them and LSU throughout both halves.

Alabama also capitalized more effectively off turnovers than did Louisiana State University (LSU), scoring twelve points off turnovers compared to eleven by LSU despite having committed more turnovers themselves (twelve).

Looking ahead after this tough road loss, fans can catch Louisiana State University (LSU) back in action when they host Arkansas Razorbacks at Pete Maravich Assembly Center located in Baton Rouge LA USA zip code:70803 scheduled for February third at eleven AM Central Time broadcasted nationally on ESPN2 channel two hundred nine.
