The Pete Maravich Assembly Center was buzzing with anticipation as both teams took to the court. The LSU Tigers put up a valiant effort, matching their opponents point-for-point in each half with 46 points before halftime and another 46 in the second half. However, it was not enough to overcome Alabama's relentless offense which posted 49 points initially and ramped up their scoring to add another 60 points after the break.

The home team showcased remarkable accuracy from two-point range, sinking an impressive 63 percent of their attempts. They were also efficient from beyond the arc, converting 37 percent of three-point shots into valuable points for a total of seven made threes. Inside scoring was a strong suit for LSU as they racked up 44 points in paint.

Despite falling short on rebounds with only 31 compared to Alabama's dominant display of grabbing 43 boards, including an impactful presence on offensive rebounds leading to second-chance opportunities that resulted in an additional eight points for LSU. On defense, they managed four blocks and five steals but were unable to contain Alabama's fast-paced game which earned them fifteen fast break points.

Alabama’s offense proved too much for LSU’s defense as they executed with precision across all fronts. Their field goal percentage stood at a solid forty-seven percent and they excelled at free throws by making eighty-eight percent of them count towards their final score tally.

A key aspect where Alabama had an edge over LSU was ball distribution; twenty-five assists led to well-coordinated plays resulting in scores while maintaining possession effectively evidenced by only eight turnovers throughout the game.

Looking ahead, fans can catch Louisiana State University back in action when they visit Florida Gators at Exactech Arena at Stephen C O'Connell Center on February thirteen scheduled for eight o'clock PM Eastern Time broadcasted nationally on SEC Network channel six hundred eleven.
