The LSU Tigers have shown a mixed bag of performances in their recent outings. Their last game against Georgia Bulldogs was a nail-biter that ended with a slim victory margin of 67-66. The team showcased resilience, especially in field goal percentage where they shot an impressive 47 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc. However, turnovers were a concern as they gave up possession 16 times.

In contrast, their encounter with Mississippi State Bulldogs exposed some weaknesses as they fell short by twenty points (87-67). Despite shooting efficiently from two-point range at 51 percent, their three-point shooting plummeted to just 18 percent. Additionally, turnovers continued to plague them with fifteen lost possessions.

However, redemption came when facing Kentucky Wildcats ranked seventeenth nationally; LSU managed to secure a narrow win (75-74). They maintained consistency in field goal percentage at around 45 percent and improved their free throw performance to hit 64 percent. Crucially, they also capitalized on second-chance points scoring thirteen compared to nine by Kentucky.

Looking ahead to Missouri's visitation, it is paramount for LSU Tigers to tighten up ball security and exploit fast-break opportunities which have been fruitful for them in past games. Rebounding will also be critical; despite being outrebounded by Georgia and Mississippi State Bulldogs in total rebounds (34 each time), they managed more offensive rebounds against Kentucky which could prove pivotal once again.
