LSU Tigers Narrowly Miss Victory Against No. 25 Ole Miss Rebels

In a closely contested match at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, the LSU Tigers faced off against the No. 25 ranked Ole Miss Rebels, culminating in a nail-biting finish. The game concluded with the Rebels edging out a victory over the Tigers with a final score of 72-70. Tigers' Standout Performances


The LSU Tigers showcased resilience and skill throughout the game, with several players making significant contributions. Cam Carter led from the front for LSU, scoring 16 points and providing four assists and four rebounds, despite struggling from the free-throw line where he did not score any points but excelled beyond the arc with a three-point shooting percentage of 57 percent. Daimion Collins also made his presence felt by adding 15 points to LSU's tally along with five rebounds; his field goal accuracy was impressive at 62 percent.


Corey Chest emerged as a dominant force under both baskets for LSU, grabbing an astounding total of twelve rebounds and contributing five points to his team's effort. His defensive prowess was on full display as he blocked two shots over the course of the game.


Rebels' Counterattack


The Ole Miss Rebels demonstrated why they are ranked within the top 25 nationally, utilizing their balanced attack to secure victory. Their bench contributed significantly with thirteen points while managing to draw nineteen fouls against LSU which played into their strategy effectively.


Despite being outrebounded by LSU who had forty rebounds compared to their thirty-nine, Ole Miss capitalized on second-chance opportunities scoring sixteen second-chance points thanks in part to their ten offensive boards.
