On Penn State's side, their offense proved highly efficient; they shot fifty-seven percent on two-point field goals making twenty-four out of forty-two attempts and hit thirty percent from three-point range. Their free throw performance was particularly impressive as they sank nineteen out of twenty-two shots for an eighty-six percent success rate.


The Nittany Lions also excelled at distributing ball with eighteen assists leading to scores compared to eleven from Maryland while maintaining an assist-to-turnover ratio higher than that achieved by The Terrapins (1.8 compared to 1.38). Furthermore, Penn State capitalized on second-chance points scoring sixteen thanks largely due to their offensive rebounding efforts.
