Terrapin Triumph


The Terrapins showcased a balanced attack throughout the game, with significant contributions from multiple players. Rodney Rice led the scoring for Maryland with 22 points, demonstrating his efficiency by shooting 50 percent from the field and perfect from the free-throw line. Ja'Kobi Gillespie followed closely with 20 points, including hitting six out of ten three-point attempts which significantly boosted his team's performance.


Julian Reese and Derik Queen were monumental in both offense and defense for Maryland. Reese notched a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds while adding two blocks and three steals to his stat line. Queen dominated under the basket with 13 points and an astounding 17 rebounds, contributing one block to help secure their team’s victory.


USC's Effort


Despite falling short against Maryland's relentless offense, USC showed moments of brilliance during the match. They managed to score 44 points in the second half but couldn't overcome Maryland’s lead. The Trojans had a balanced scoring effort but struggled against Maryland’s defensive strategies which limited their opportunities to close down on their opponent’s lead.
