Maryland Terrapins Stumble as Oregon Ducks Soar at XFINITY Center

First Half


The Maryland Terrapins faced off against the Oregon Ducks at the XFINITY Center, with both teams entering the game eager to improve their records. The Terps, now standing at 0-2, struggled to find their rhythm early on. Despite a valiant effort from Isaiah Watts, who contributed 11 points and showcased a solid shooting performance with a field goal percentage of 50 percent, Maryland found themselves trailing by halftime.

The Ducks took control in the first half with an impressive display of teamwork and efficiency. They managed to secure a lead by scoring 34 points compared to Maryland's 27. The Quack Attack capitalized on their opportunities inside the paint, scoring 32 points there throughout the game.


Second Half


As play resumed in the second half, Maryland attempted to close the gap but faced challenges in maintaining consistency. David Coit added eight points for his team but struggled with turnovers that hindered momentum shifts for Maryland. The Terps' defense showed moments of brilliance with six steals overall; however, they were unable to contain Oregon's offensive prowess.

Oregon continued their dominance into this period by adding another 30 points while holding off any significant comeback attempts from Maryland. Their effective field goal percentage stood strong at 54 percent thanks largely due to efficient shot selection across all areas on court.


Final Whistle


When it came down towards final whistle reaction from fans was mixed as they witnessed yet another loss for home side ending scoreline reading: "64-54".
