The Memphis Tigers showcased an impressive performance on their home court, outpacing the Alabama State Hornets in both halves. The first half saw the Tigers put up 47 points to the Hornets' 37, setting a strong pace for the match. In the second half, they continued to extend their lead by adding another 36 points against the Hornets' 24.

Offensively, Memphis was dominant in field goal percentage with an impressive 55 percent shooting accuracy compared to Alabama State's more modest rate of nearly 31 percent. The Tigers were particularly effective inside, scoring a remarkable total of 50 points in paint which underscored their control under the basket.

Defensively, Memphis also excelled; they amassed an outstanding total of 14 blocks throughout the game while keeping personal fouls to just eleven. This defensive solidity limited opportunities for Alabama State and contributed significantly to widening the gap on scoreboard.

The home team's rebounding efforts were notable as well; although both teams had comparable numbers overall – with Memphis securing 38 rebounds and Alabama State grabbing 40 – it was how those rebounds translated into fast break opportunities that made a difference. The Tigers capitalized on these chances by scoring an impressive total of 22 fast break points.

Memphis also demonstrated superior ball distribution and teamwork with eighteen assists leading to scores compared to eleven from their opponents. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at about one point three (1.29), reflecting better ball handling and decision-making during playmaking situations than that of Alabama State whose ratio was less than one (0.79).

In terms of individual performances for Memphis, there were several standout players who contributed significantly across various aspects of play but specific names and statistics are not provided within this data set.

As fans look ahead after this solid win by Memphis Tigers basketball team, attention turns towards their next challenge: facing off against South Florida Bulls at FedExForum on December 29th at eight PM Eastern Time (7 PM local time).
